Abstract

THE SIXTH DAY – THE LANGUAGE OF A MOTION SHOW

(Abstract)

The Sixth Day. A movement performance by Váróterem Projekt (Project Waiting Room) with two actors, which starts from the sixth day of biblical creation, that is, from the creation of man, as well as from the fall into sin and the formation of modern, contemporary man. The role of the relationship between people, between man and woman, takes on great importance. The show uses movement and dance as means of expression, so its language consists of movements, gestures, mimics and inarticulate sounds, and the materials used also play an important role. The study tries to analyze the ways in which these sometimes abstract, sometimes more concrete movements and signs can be interpreted as carrying meaning.

Keywords: nonverbal language, biblical creation, movement, materials, relationships.
